HISTORY

In the years from 2015 to 2017 my father vinified a very particular wine. A selection that, qualitatively speaking, ranks even above our Pinot Noir Riserva. The idea was to release these selections from three exceptional vintages for Pinot Noir onto the market firstly when they were perfectly ripe and secondly, but no less importantly, to demonstrate the potential of South Tyrolean Pinot Noir. In homage to my father Alexander Gottardi, these wines bear his signature. He was a passionate winemaker with heart and soul who found his calling in Pinot Noir and was greatly appreciated.

WINEMAKING
controlled temperature fermentation in stainless steel, aging for approximately 12 months in oak barriques (1/4 new) and another 8 months in large wooden barrels. After bottling in 2017, the wine was in our cellar until it went on sale in 2022

PERFUME
complex with elegant, fine fruity notes and hints of wood

TASTE
The balanced acid structure, well-integrated tannins and notes of dog rose, red cherries, dried figs, hints of tobacco and dark chocolate on the palate are the main characteristics of this Pinot Noir.
