The Kerner grape is a cross between Trollinger and Riesling, created in Weinsberg, Germany, around 1930. It prefers the light, gravelly and sandy soils of the higher, sun-exposed slopes in the middle of the Isarco Valley. The late ripening of the grapes gives a full-bodied and aromatic wine that is highly appreciated.
