Traminer Aromatico, already known in the thirteenth century, is certainly the most famous South Tyrolean wine today. It probably finds its origin in Termeno (Tramin), the town from which "Traminer" takes its name. This aromatic wine, produced with grapes carefully selected by the winemaker and coming from the steep slopes surrounding Bolzano, fascinates with its intense and persistent fruity and floral scents and thanks to a light spicy note.

Gewürztraminer variety

Production area highly suitable areas of the city of Bolzano and surroundings, from 400 to 600 m above sea level.

Harvest from the end of September to the beginning of October

Vinification: short maceration, soft pressing, controlled temperature fermentation in steel

Characteristics

Color: intense straw yellow with golden reflections

Bouquet: aromatic, roses, litchi, grapefruit, lime, light notes of orange peel, cloves and cinnamon

Taste: full, complex and soft with a pleasant freshness

Pairing with shellfish, spicy Asian dishes, fresh and semi-mature cheeses
