Grown in the vineyards surrounding Bolzano, Lagrein is one of the flagship red grape varieties of Alto Adige. It is an indigenous variety from which a wine of great character is obtained. The notable temperature variations between day and night together with the sandy and loose alluvial soils give life to a complex wine with intense colors and characterized by the typical freshness. For the Lagrein Riserva Taber, only carefully selected grapes are used, which give us a wine that over the years has earned considerable fame and many admirers: an undisputed icon of quality.

Production area for vineyards over 80 years old, on warm, alluvial soils in Gries/Bolzano, 250 m above sea level.

Harvest from the end of September to mid-October

Vinification: fermentation in wooden barrels, aging for about a year in French barriques and large barrels

Characteristics

Color: impenetrable dark garnet red

Bouquet: fruity cherry and ripe berries, hints of violet, eucalyptus and humus, spiciness of cocoa and vanilla

Flavor: intense and persistent, with an elegant freshness, noble and soft tannins

Pairing: with red meats, game and mature cheeses.
