Nero d’Avola is the expression of a particular native vine of Sicily.
It has been of fundamental importance for centuries in the production of many Sicilian wines, however, its use as a blending wine prevails. And it is only from the 70s of the last century that serious experimentation on this vine finally begins, in order to study and enhance it. This wine, today, is defined as the
prince of Sicilian vines.

Grapes: Nero d’Avola 100%.
Production area: Western Sicily.
Training and pruning: Counter-espalier, with guyot pruning.
Altitude: 350 m above sea level.
Planting density: 5500 plants per hectare.
Yield: 85 quintals per hectare.
Harvest period: September.
IN THE CELLAR
Fermentation: In steel.
Aging: In steel, eighteen months in tonnoau.
Analytical data: Alcohol 14%.
TASTING NOTES
The color is intense ruby red, almost impenetrable, with good clarity and consistency, you can
recognize the typical varietal characteristics, such as: hints of plum, black cherry in alcohol, with
notes of violet and spices (nutmeg and cloves), opening up, you can recognize intense
shades of tobacco. In the mouth it is dry, fruity with good acidity, the warmth and
the sensation of velvety tannins stand out.
HOW TO PAIR
It is an ideal wine to be paired with mature cheeses, important first courses, red meats and
game.
