Bottled only in the years considered high, Pietramora brings together the best of Sangiovese produced in our vineyards, now all trained as saplings with high density vineyards. Among the red wines, Pietramora is therefore the wine that is most dear to us and that more than any other reflects - and we want it to be so - the character of the vintage: austere tannins of 1995 and 1998, opulent alcohol by 2000, irreproachable completeness of 2001 and 2011, exuberant fruit of 2012, great classicism of 2015.
A touch of ancellotta, never more than 3% completes, almost every year, the final cut.
Starting from the 2011 harvest, its name shows on the label the name of the sub-zone to which it belongs, that of Marzeno, as per the modifications to the reference specification.
