12 months in medium-large oak barrels, then 12 months in the bottle.
Organoleptic characteristics
Ruby red color with garnet-like tones due to aging.
Intense aromas with a prevalence of tertiary, ethereal and enameled scents combined with fruity hints of plum in alcohol.
A decidedly structured wine with well-made tannins and density.
Excellent taste persistence.
The best exposure to the sun of the rows and the limited production of grapes followed by aging in wood and further refinement in the bottle are the guarantees of high quality that distinguish this Sangiovese, to be counted among the excellences of the Winery.
The Podere della Croce is so called for the presence of an ancient alabaster cross, dated 1602, which in the past marked the connecting road between Ribano and the Rocca di Santarcangelo.
