The Marinič cellar is located in the heart of the Goriška Brda, the Slovenian area of the Collio Goriziano. Divided by a line on the map, in reality, they constitute a unique region, characterized by particular pedoclimatic conditions, which for centuries have elected the terroir among the absolute best for the production of great intense and long-lived white wines. The project was born from the meeting between the Marinič family, who have been cultivating vines here for several generations, and Charles-Louis de Noüe, a young French entrepreneur, already co-owner of the Domaine Leflaive in Burgundy, in love with the Goriška Brda. The estate is located near Vedrijan, close to Dobrovo Castle. Marinič's deep knowledge of the territory and the experience of Burgundy have integrated and merged perfectly, giving life to a cellar that has imposed itself on the attention of enthusiasts for the quality of its wines.

The Goriška Brda region is a sparsely populated hilly area characterized by still unspoiled nature, with vineyards cultivated only in the best hillside positions, among large wooded areas. The vines are located at an altitude between 150 and 250 meters above sea level. The climate is particularly mild and temperate. The chain of the Julian Prealps shelters the entire area from cold winds and disturbances coming from the northeast. From the Adriatic coast, which is just a few tens of kilometers away, the gentle sea breezes rise inland, keeping the grapes always healthy and allowing excellent ripening, especially of the white berry varieties.
