The history of the Massenez Distillery dates back to 1870 thanks to Jean-Baptiste Massenez who began his profession in the Villé Valley in Urbeis. In 1913, Eugène Massenez distilled the Wild Raspberry for the first time … This distillate became a phenomenal success thanks to the support of the Queen of Sweden who fell in love with this “raspberry” during her visits to Alsace. Associated since 2010 with the Grandes Distilleries Peureux, Mr Bernard Baud manages the distillery in Alsace with Manou Massenez and Elodie Naslin. Confident in the quality of their products and aware of the difficulties of the sector in the “spirits” market, this team continues to develop the Massenez brand, both abroad and in France through a feminine image, given the historical value of the Framboise and the discovery, through cocktails, of a new consumer profile: women!
