1 BOTTLE OF 75cl
Variety: Dolcetto D'Alba 100%
Degrees: 13.5%
Dolcetto d'Alba DOC Massolino denotes a typically Piedmontese DNA. Careful vinification aims to make it softer and rounder, accentuating its drinkability.
Soil type: medium texture, tending towards calcareous.
First year of production: 1896.
Vinification and ageing: fermentation and maceration in stainless steel for medium duration (7-9 days) at a controlled temperature around 30°C. This is followed by malolactic fermentation and a few months of aging in stainless steel and concrete.
Notes: the soils of Serralunga also give a great structure to this vine which typically offers freshness and fragrance in its aromas. Tasting characteristics
At sight: deep ruby red with intense violet reflections.
On the nose: fresh, fruity, sweet and elegant aromas forcefully impose themselves.
On the palate: large and warm entry which then opens into multiple flavors attributable to a rich and concentrated wine. Fruity and vinous naturally prevail, leaving a long and pleasant aftertaste. It is advisable to serve it at a temperature of 18-20°C.
Wine for the whole meal "traditionally" in the Langhe. It is also perfect for snacks based on cured meats and cheeses or to open the meal with meat dishes and cold cuts. Pasta-based first courses, risottos, soups and red meats, particularly grilled ones, enhance its good body and pleasant drinkability.
