Giacomo Conterno's Barolo “Francia“ is a legend of the denomination, a solemn and muscular expression, of unmistakable quality and value.
The mention “Francia“ is located in the municipality of Serralunga d’Alba and is one of the most important of Barolo for structure and strength.
Visually it shows a ruby ​​red color tending towards garnet.
The olfactory profile is mainly oriented towards intense tones of violet, dried rose, cherry, strawberry and raspberry, which are combined with excellent menthol, spicy, mineral and leather sensations.
On the palate it is a Barolo of absolute personality and elegance, endowed with a superb and exciting power and structure, surrounded by a velvety and extremely fine tannic texture, in association with a pleasant and measured acidity.
The finish is of extraordinary persistence.

Once brought to the cellar, the grapes are softly pressed and the resulting must is subjected to long macerations that can last up to 30 days.
The fermentation phase takes place inside Austrian wooden vats.
The wine is then sent for refinement, inside oak barrels of various sizes, for a period of 48 months.
A further period of refinement in the bottle is needed to complete the production process.
