THE WINE
It represents the company's flagship and clearly expresses its style,
in the constant search for elegance and purity. It comes from grapes harvested
in the best plots of the homonymous Cru Rizzi. Since it is
a fairly large vineyard area, it is normal to find within
discrete variations in exposure and altitude, as well as obvious
pedological differences. The result is a Barbaresco with classic traits
in which the freshness of the fruit, the intensity of the
undergrowth, immediacy and longevity coexist.
Serving temperature: 16°C.
WINEMAKING
Harvest:
by hand in crates, in the first ten days of October (with possible
variations depending on the seasonal climate trend).
Fermentation and maceration:
at a controlled temperature in steel tanks without exceeding 30°C,
for a duration of approximately 3-4 weeks. At the end of the
primary fermentation, malolactic fermentation follows, which
usually ends in approximately a month.
Aging:
in large Slavonian oak barrels for about 12 months, then in concrete tanks for another 6-9 months and then in the bottle before being
released for sale.

Soil composition: calcareous-clayey marl with sandy
veins.
