IMPRESSIONS Deep red color. Elegant nose of berries and plums, together with muldberry, pine and hints of clove.
On the palate wild berries with a final of undergrowth, cocoa and coffee. Soft and round, with a good freshness.
Historical label of the territory: This wine was originally produced in the 1960s and 1970s by the estate Villa del Ferro Lazzarini, from whom we recently purchased their vineyards.
This wine is dedicated to its creator Alfredo Lazzarini; it holds a history of the Colli Berici that must not be forgotten.
One of the first vintages produced by Alfredo Lazzarini was defined by the great wine and gastronomic journalist Luigi Veronelli as an “unimaginable wine, comparable because of its esoteric charm to the best Paulliac.” Veronelli considered the Colli Berici as one of the best areas for the Bordelaise varieties, alongside the Bolgheri area.
Selection of the original Merlot pergola, which are 50 years old.
90% Merlot 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Low yields: average of 50hl per hectare.
12 months in used barrique.

The label has a particular decoration taken from a book of drawings dating to neoclassical times: “il tempio di Giove”.
