Origin Mainly produced with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the Haras de Pirque vineyards in the Maipo Valley, to tell the story of this characteristic territory through a fascinating wine, characterized by herbaceous and spicy notes supported by an extraordinary freshness, typical of the terroir.
Climate The 2019 vintage in Pirque presented great varietal characteristics, it was a cool spring with a hot summer which allowed the harvest to be optimally ripe. The cool afternoons and nights from January to April are expressed in the wines of this vintage, maintaining touches of freshness and elegance. The harvest took place in mid-April when the relationship between the structure of the tannins and the ripeness of the grapes was optimal.
winemaking The different plots of Cabernet Sauvignon were vinified independently in stainless steel and French oak vats. Before the alcoholic fermentation, a cold maceration for 3 to 5 days, to maximize its aromatic potential. After the alcoholic fermentation, the wine was transferred to barriques where it matured for a period of 12 months.
The notes of the CATA Hussonet comes in an intense red color. On the nose, notes of species such as cinnamon, laurel and mint are combined with herbaceous sensations and toasted touches that show the freshness of this valley. In the mouth it is soft with pleasant tannins and aromas of red fruits and chocolate.
