Vinification: manual harvesting and selection of the grapes, 2 days of cold maceration, 5 days on the skins

Aging: 6 months in used French oak barriques, 30 months in chestnut barrels

Serving temperature: 18-20° C

The Nebbiolo coming from the prestigious Sassella vineyard area, whose tiny plots west of Sondrio are literally torn from the rock, gives rise to a wine of high personality with good body and structural characteristics. Stored for six months in French oak barriques, it subsequently ages in chestnut barrels for thirty months, thus transforming into a refined and full-bodied red characterized by the complex elegance of the Nebbiolo grape. The aroma is intense, with hints of raspberry, small fruits and undergrowth. Precise and multifaceted, Sassella caresses the palate with a harmonious symphony of aromas. Fine tannic texture, very long finish. It goes well with red meats, game, mature cheeses.
