Grape variety: 60% Montepulciano 40% Sangiovese
Rosso Di Gino comes from a blend of Sangiovese and Montepulciano. A historic label in the San Lorenzo house, in fact the first vintage produced was 1995. The 4-hectare vineyard is located in the Municipality of Ostra Vetere, with southern exposure. The grapes are harvested from the predominantly sandy soil and once taken to the cellar they are fermented and macerated for about 20 days. The processing takes place with indigenous yeasts.
For the refinement Natalino Corgnaletti lets the wine rest for a year in steel and only 10% of the grapes in French oak tonneau.
