As for Cubanacan line, even this rum takes a name that sinks into the Cuban roots of Oliver family, now established in the Dominican Republic. José Julián Martí Pérez was a politician, writer and leader of the movement for Cuban independence in the mid-nineteenth century. Today in Cuba is considered one of the greatest national heroes. Among his works became famous all over the world one of his poems in the collection "Versos Sencillos" (Simple Verses), as was used for the text of one of the most popular songs by the Cubans "Guantanamera". The romantic serenade time bolero dedicated to a "Guajira Guantanamera" (peasant of the city of Guantanamo), set against the independence struggles that inflamed the then Spanish colony in the late nineteenth century. The tribute to this hero comes in the form of a great rum Artisan aged in French and American oak casks in the traditional Solera method. The combination of rums of different aging gives softness and depth to this rum, which begins with delicious caramel and fruit notes in Solera 15 anos up to go to the notes of incense and wood of the oldest Soleras, or 19 anos 23 anos. Excellent in combination with a strictly Cuban cigar!
