Velier Foursquare Destino Rum is a very special double maturation bottling from Velier in collaboration with the renowned Richard Seale of the Foursquare Rum Distillery.

Distilled in 2003, this rum, christened Destino, was selected by the master distillery and blender of the Foursquare Rum Distillery, Richard Seale, and initially aged for 12 years in Madeira casks, before being aged a further two years in bourbon casks. Underscored by notes of vanilla and chocolate, the red and black fruits (red currant, bramble, blackcurrant) found throughout the tasting stunningly highlight the Madeira’s influence on the palette of flavours and aromas. With a remarkably fresh expression, it enthusiastically proves that time has no hold on it.

Tasting Notes: The refined initial nose is fruity (blackcurrant, bramble) and energetic. Allowed to breathe, it becomes vanilla and chocolatey. The slender attack reveals an explosion of fruit (plum, red currant). It then becomes richer (fruit tart), whilst the juicy plum gives way to prune. The complex start to the finish is jammy (blueberry) and spicy (cinnamon) with notes of burnt caramel.
