With Xaymaca Special Dry, Plantation relives the quintessence of 100% Jamaican-style pot-still rums.
A rum reminiscent of those produced in the 19th century, an expression of intense aromas that reveal the traditional and legendary "Rum Funk": black banana and flambéed pineapple, aromas and flavors that are locally recognized as "Hogo", a term deriving from the French "Haut Gout ”(broad taste).
Xaymaca evokes the name given to the island by its first inhabitants, the Arawaks.
This nectar is a return to the origins of Jamaican rums, in all their complexity and intensity.
Thanks to the latest investments made in the Caribbean, Plantation now owns a third of the legendary Jamaican distilleries of "Long Pond" and "Clarendon".
Thus Alexandre Gabriel's dream of creating a 100% pot still Jamaican rum became a reality: this allowed Alexandre to immerse himself in this ancestral tradition and create a rum he had wanted for so long.
Xaymaca Special Dry is a blend of rums, which have undergone a long fermentation of one to three weeks, distilled in John Dore stills in Long Pond and in Vendome in Clarendon.
