The historical tradition of the Carúpano Distillery dates back to 1762, the year in which the Hacienda Altamira in Macarapana-Carúpano was founded by the Spanish captain Félix del Fierro, and it is there that what is now called Añejo Rum was produced for the first time in Venezuela.
At the beginning of the twentieth century, the company was acquired by Leon Santelli who was able to communicate the quality of his rums and build a more international image.
To date this Ron follows the Venezuelan disciplinary, falling within the D.O.C. The microclimate of the area, the very pure water used (proprietary source) and the 250 years of experience in blending make this distillate extraordinary
