Family-run business since 1914: the property has 300 hectares, of which 150 are destined for the cultivation of sugar cane, bananas and pineapples. Today the heirs of the Crassous de Médeuil family carry on with passion the ancient and traditional production methods of Rhum J.M.

SELECTED RAW MATERIAL: after being cut, the sugar cane is pressed within one hour to extract the fresh and pure juice that will be used for fermentation.

EXCEPTIONAL MICROCLIMATE: the 4 varieties of sugar cane used are grown at the foot of Mount Pelée. Habitation Bellevue enjoys a tropical and excellent climate with particularly rich and fertile volcanic soil. The harvesting period takes place between March and June.

PRECIOUS WATER: the pure water used comes from a proprietary source of volcanic origin rich in minerals from nearby Mount Pelée. Particularity that makes the production of Rhum J.M.

ALAMBIC WITH DOUBLE COLUMN IN COPPER OF CREOLE TYPE: from the distillation we obtain a rum with a not excessive alcohol content, around 72%, to preserve the floral and natural aromas rich in fruity flavors conferred by the raw material used.

AGING: 6 long years in bourbon barrels.

Tasting Notes:
A brilliant gold rum with bright citrine reflections. The intense and sweet bouquet ranges with floral and spicy scents. On the palate, the silkiness is enriched with acidic notes, black pepper, nutmeg and chilli.
