2010 is the latest release released by the distillery originally from Barbados. This is the twenty-first version of the Exceptional Cask Selection, which continues the award-winning Vintage series launched with the innovative and acclaimed 2004. The 2010 is a Single Blended Rum, that is a mixture of rums distilled in copper pot-still stills and in continuous stills double column. Matured in Barbados for 12 years in ex-bourbon American white oak barrels, it has 60% alcohol, is not cold-filtered, has a natural color and is free from added sugar.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: complex, rich in raisins and dried figs. Dark chocolate and salted caramel. An earthy, vegetal note of sage contrasts with pineapple and mango. Elegant minerality.

Palate: Sweet, juicy sultanas lead a riot of rich toffee and salted caramel. It continues with hints of Seville orange, ripe mango and a pleasant taste of plum.

Long and warm finish, rich in black pepper, coffee and dark bitter chocolate. Other notes of Seville orange intertwine.

Complex and evolving sip. Rich and balanced. Once again, a Foursquare masterpiece.
