A Central American indigenous quote says: “The land does not belong to you, you belong to the land.”

This phrase, together with the gifts that the Panamanian terroir offers, are the main sources of inspiration for the Authentic Native brand owned by Aloha Assets Corp.

Authentic Nativo Overproof 108° is a blend of rum aged between 8 and 10 years.

The rums are produced from sugar cane with a high sugar content, coming from the favorable Panamanian territory.

Here sugar cane grows in ideal conditions thanks to a tropical climate, with average temperatures between 27 and 35 degrees, and the many rivers present in the area.

After processing the sugar cane, the molasses obtained is first fermented and subsequently distilled in centuries-old copper column stills.

From here, the rum obtained is aged in oak barrels previously used for bourbon.

After aging, the rums are expertly blended using the experience of Francisco "Don Pancho" Fernández.

Cocoa nibs are added to the blend obtained and macerate for two days in the rum.

The distillate is subsequently filtered. Authentic Nativo Overproof 108° has a balanced bouquet with notes of chocolate, vanilla and dark fruits.

It is not overly sweet on the palate, with hints of toffee, molasses, dried black figs, leather, oak charcoal, vanilla, tobacco, cinnamon and nutmeg.
