MAGISTERIUM is the twenty-sixth

release (Mark XXVI) of the award-winning

Exceptional Cask Selection series.

A blend of rums distilled in

alamabicchi double retort pot-stills and

in continuous double-column stills, and aged for sixteen

years in ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks.

More precisely, it is a

blend of three aged rums, a

sixteen-year-old ex-Bourbon cask and

two double maturations; the first

includes three years in ex-Bourbon

followed by thirteen years in ex-Oloroso Sherry

casks, while the second

includes nine years in ex-Bourbon

and seven years in ex-Oloroso Sherry.

MAGISTERIUM is a Single Blended

Rum, a blend of heavy and light Marques

distilled in double

retort pot-stills and in the distillery's continuous

double column stills.

With an alcohol content of 58%,

without cold filtration, its natural color is free

of sweeteners and other additives.

TASTING NOTES

Nose:

Rich in caramel and dark

chocolate, dried raisins and sultanas.

Dried mango and banana flakes.

Delicate notes of Seville

orange peel and a hint of coffee.

Palate:

Silky on the palate, soft and oily

in the mouth. Rich salted caramel and

toffee in the foreground, with a note

of vanilla ice cream. Dried dates,

raisins and pineapple. On the bottom are tart

black cherries.

Finish:

More dried pineapple and

dry and tart mango. Gingerbread and lemon peel.

Delicate oak and anise on the

finish. Enveloping.

OVERALL IMPRESSION

Overall, MAGISTERIUM rum

can be summed up in one word:

smooth! It is complex

and evolving, silky on the palate,
