Italian recipe that has belonged to the Manfredi company for over 100 years; it is distinguished from national sambucas by the presence of the true black gold of Calabria: the black anise of Sila.
Visually, it appears transparent and crystalline.
On the nose, it exudes a fresh and intense aroma, with an almost spicy note reminiscent of cumin.
In the mouth, despite the 40 degrees of alcohol, a great balance of flavors is perceived: the star anise gives intensity and sweetness; Sila black anise gives fresh and spicy notes, unique and extremely recognisable. In the finish, it has a long persistence.
A product to be consumed during the coffee break, neat or as a concealer. If consumed straight, a cold but not iced drink is recommended.
When mixed, it turns out to be an extraordinary ingredient that gives spiciness and freshness, even in small doses, like absinthe or Pernod.
