Ingredients:

Water, Sugar, Alcohol, Natural flavours, caramel from pure dissolved sugar.

Natural flavours are the active ingredients obtained by extraction from medicinal herbs collected in nature.
The caramel, used as a colouring, is obtained by heating pure sucrose, with the absolute exclusion of the use of ammonium hydroxide, gaseous ammonia and ammonium salts.
It does not contain any additives.

The liqueur is born from the cold mixing of semi-finished alcoholic products obtained after maceration, infusion and filtration of the ingredients after months of laborious processes with the use of artisanal techniques handed down for decades.

Amaro San Simone uses cereal alcohol as its raw material. The alcohol is subject to purification processes such that the gluten content is normally no longer detectable: if it is present in traces, it is still lower than the limit of 20 mg/kg required by the Italian Celiac Association (AIC) for products permitted to celiacs and for the definition of a “gluten-free” product.

Although of pharmaceutical origin, this bitter is not a specific medicine, with relative limitations, but rather an excellent liqueur, appreciated and beneficial by all. It is obtained from 39 selected herbs and roots, mostly from the surrounding area, recognized for their tonic properties.

Production Process:

The entire production process takes place at the historic Turin plant, from the maceration of the herbs to bottling.

For over half a century, the main suppliers of the raw materials used have not changed, just as the processing methods have remained the same, simply improved thanks to the use of more modern techniques: they are based on good traditional rules, more suitable for maintaining the active and aromatic principles that characterize the product unchanged.

To best appreciate its refined composition, it is preferable to take it at room temperature, or as a Turin ritual with ice, but Amaro San Simone is also excellent served cold.
