This version is born from the collaboration of the association of Meilleurs Ouvriers de France Sommelier category. The title of MOF is earned by winning the competition that is organized every four years with the patronage of the Ministry of Labor and the President of the French Republic. The competition was created with the aim of promoting artisan trades. The Meilleur Ouvrier de France competition includes around 200 different professions, including the role of sommelier. To win the title, years of study and work experience are required. Some of the best sommeliers in France have had to repeat the exams up to 4 times before being able to rejoin the MOF club. It is a very important title, comparable to an honor that can turn the career of any craftsman around.
