Moscato Rosa is a vine with ancient origins that owes its name to the intense rose perfume, a characteristic aroma found in both grapes and wine. The vineyards grow about 250 meters, with south-south west exposure on clayey-calcareous soils and in a ventilated area, essential to avoid Botrytis on the grapes. It is neither a passito nor a late harvest, but the grape itself has a high natural sugar residue and is harvested when it is ripe; of course the harvest period depends on the vintage. The limited production makes Moscato Rosa a precious wine, the yield is remarkably stingy, in good vintages about thirty quintals per hectare are collected.

As the name of the grape already reveals, this wine has an intense aroma of roses, cinnamon, cloves, berries.

Even in the mouth it is very spicy, and despite the sweetness it still has a good acidity that does not make it cloying, leaving the mouth very clean.

The combination with a berry tart or with a dark chocolate cake is very good.
