Tasting Notes
Deep bright ruby red. On the nose, it expresses complex aromas ranging from fruity notes of cherries and plums to spicy ones of almond husk, leather, black pepper, nutmeg and sugared almonds. There are balsamic notes, such as mint and eucalyptus, which are reminiscent of macchia vegetation. Pleasant hints of cocoa and Virginia blond tobacco in the finish. Tannins are mouthfilling, sweet, but velvety and large. A well-balanced wine whose supporting acidity and savoury character counterbalance alcohol with the help of tannins. Very enjoyable taste of fresh plums with hints of berries and intense aromatic notes. Long aftertaste with aromatic and fruity notes as well as a savoury and refreshing finish that enhances the balance and the length of the wine.

Vinification
The carefully selected grapes were grown in the estate’s best vineyards at altitudes of 180 to 200 m a.s.l.. The different grape varieties were vinified separately; fermentation and maceration took place in stainless steel tanks for about 25/30 days at a controlled temperature never over 28/30° C. 
The wine was then transferred into mainly new 225 l French oak barriques (Allier and Troncais) where malolactic fermentation was completed and it was aged for further 18 months. After the blending the wine undergoes further 12 months of bottle fining before the release on the market.
