Selected from the best barrel in the cellar, our Brunello Riserva is undoubtedly an elegant and impactful wine. Aroma of black cherry with hints of dried rose and delicate spiciness. Soft and mineral with fine tannins and notes of licorice and red currant, the Riserva slowly flexes its muscles throughout the long and savory finish.

TASTING

VINIFICATION
Each vintage of this wine is produced by selecting the best barrels in the cellar. This wine usually comes from older vineyards and ages longer in oak barrels than Brunello. The soil is poor and rocky, mainly composed of clay and limestone. The production area is located in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, overlooking the valley of the Orcia river in the South-East region of Montalcino. The harvest is done manually. The selection of the grapes is exceptionally rigorous, with very low yields. Vinification in wooden vats, spontaneous fermentation and very prolonged maceration, with pumping over in the air. Aging in 30 hl oak barrels for 45 months.
