NAME: Toscana IGT.

VARIETIES: Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Sangiovese.

SOIL: Marl, ancient clays with high concentration of limestone.

ALTITUDE: Between 280 and 310 meters above sea level.

VINEYARDS: from 22 to 15 years of age.

TRAINING SYSTEM: Spurred cordon, organic farming, limited quantity of grapes per single vineyard.

HARVEST: Between the end of September and the beginning of October.

VINIFICATION: Separate fermentations of the different varieties, maceration for approximately 20 days. Malolactic fermentation in cement.

AGEING: Approximately 18 months in French barriques from producers chosen specifically for this wine. 60% new and 40% second hand.

ALCOHOL CONTENT: 14.5% by vol.

TASTING NOTES: Nose of sour cherry jam, pepper leaf, touches of tobacco, palate with savory tannins, excellent persistence and powerful but elegant structure.
