Vinification
The wine, obtained from grapes harvested in the last phase of the harvest, matures, after maceration for about 25 days, in new Allier barriques for 20 months and for 8 months in large Slavonian barrels, and ages for 10 months in the bottle

Manual harvest carried out towards the end of October. The harvesting period implies the desire to determine a slight overripeness of the grapes on the plant

When in 1979 Giovanni Allegrini, moved by a deep love for his Valpolicella, decided to plant only Corvina grapes on the top of La Grola, he did not imagine the extraordinary success that this wine would achieve. The highly qualitative viticulture and the perfect microclimate of this plateau of about 3 hectares, dazzling for the whiteness of the limestone stones, deliver us the best grapes that Valpolicella can give, for this extraordinary cru, icon of Allegrini production.

Tasting notes
Elegant and sophisticated wine, with a noble profile and great aromatic expression. The perfume, enveloping and intense, rises vertically, revealing a ripe but still fresh fruit, followed by notes of toasted tobacco, dark spices and licorice. It enchants the palate with its extraordinary balance, long persistence and soft and silky tannins.
