The White Oak Distillery, founded in 1888 by Eigashima Shuzo, produced classic sake until 1984, when it was expanded with the addition of whiskey stills. The stills of the distillery only work for one month a year so the amount of whiskey produced is always very small.

This blended whiskey ages for two years in American Japanese Shochu oak barrels, then in bourbon barrels, and is finished for a year in sherry casks.
