A particularly sweet version of this timeless Islay single malt, young but made round and juicy thanks to the use of very active ex bourbon barrels tailor-made for us (hogshead), which gave surprising maturity in a short time.

On the nose, it is impressive how medicinal it is: unmistakably peaty, but also with a pleasantly sweet and sour character of white pulp fruit.

There is also a distinct aromatic note: balsamic, with hints of mint and camphor.

Very smoky, yet sunny at the same time.

The influence of the very expressive bourbon barrels is even more evident on the palate: creamy, sweet, rich in succulent vanilla and banana.

Not in a fat, thick or heavy way, however: on the contrary, still very lively and agile.

There is a lot of ash and fireplace smoke, but also ripe lemon peel, and a final explosion of white pepper
