Our eye, or rather, our nose has stopped on a young boy who allows us to bottle another edition of our philosophy of Islay, the Queen of Scots. We are facing a Caol Ila, young, arrogant and bold.

Despite its young age, the mastery of the woods delivers it with a delicately peaty tone. Notes of yeast, butter and smoked meat appear shyly on the nose, a bit like the scents of an extinguished fireplace after the night. Toasted tones of almond, hazelnut and candied fruit.

The saline dimension surprises for its balance and harmony. Hints of anchovy, herring; let's say that scent of a “marina” with mineral tips. The panorama of the fields of capers that descend towards the Sicilian sea comes to mind ... On the right, the columns of Heracles; on the left, the mysterious and intriguing East.

Between ocean and sky there is a thin line that is easy to distinguish, clearer. I learned to recognize it in Brittany.

OUR PHILOSOPHY ON SPIRITS
We are on a mission; a mission to find perfection in the quality of everything related to spirits. We do what we do considering different points of view, taking risks and asking ourselves questions, but in a typically Italian way everything is welcomed, tested and then celebrated. On this path we have understood that differences and uniqueness lead to the perfection of quality. And the perfect quality at its peak is unique, as are you, me and them. The products we tirelessly look for, taste and bottle are almost always different and individual in character. As such, any Samaroli bottle should almost always be tasted with some excitement and surprise; like a kid in a candy store. Get ready for a tasting adventure where quality is reinterpreted and perhaps continually questioned; for none is better than the other. But on reflection in its entirety, the sum of all these perfectly imperfect bottles creates a collection of uniquely perfect spirits (.. no alcohol).

OUR TASTING PHILOSOPHY
Just as in the world of wine there is the standard glass for tasting and other special glasses for the most popular wines, we feel that our spirits need a specific glass to enjoy the full spectrum of aromas and flavors without losing anything. Samaroli seeks the best quality in everything it does. Obviously the characteristics of the spirits can be influenced by the glass used to taste them.

The project then begins with collaborating with world-class glass designers to perfect our concept. This process led, in June 2011, to the birth of our glass. Among its main purposes is to avoid any enrichment of perfumes: our products are in fact very rich and therefore need the right width to naturally show their perfumes, without any concentration due to the glass. The introduction of an "internal step" as a facilitator helps to break down the alcohol molecules to make possible the perception of otherwise hidden details. In our opinion, it also has a very beautiful shape. Enjoy your drink!
