Eigashima Distillery, also known as White Oak, was founded in 1888 in the city of Akashi, near the sea and close to Kobe. It was the first distillery to obtain a license in 1919 and to produce high-quality Japanese whiskies, alongside the more traditional sake and shochu, benefiting from an uncontaminated environment made of clean air and pure water.

The production philosophy reflects the Japanese vocation for attention to the smallest details, maintaining low quantities and high quality.
