Classic dessert product VecchioFlorio is a versatile wine. This superior marsala, well known in Italy and abroad, is made from Grillo and Catarratto grapes and ages for 30 months in ancient oak barrels, beyond the requirements of the DOC regulations, in the tranquility of the centuries-old Cantine Florio.

GRAPE VARIETY: Grillo and Cataratto
VINIFICATION Pressing of grapes with a high sugar content to pass the precious substances contained in the skins to the must. Fermentation at a controlled temperature and preparation of the tanning with the addition, to the wine obtained, of mistella, cooked must and wine distillate.
MATURATION It ages for almost three years in oak barrels and vats of different capacities. One of the secrets of quality Marsala is aging, which is why Vecchioflorio ages in oak barrels of different capacities for at least 30 months, 6 months more than required by the regulations.
